Armenia expands central depository services for international identifiers

On 29 September 2026, CBA Resolution 236-N was officially published. Adopted on 8 September, it expands the Central Depository of Armenia’s additional services to support access to international financial infrastructure.

The amendments cover agency and ancillary services for assigning, validating, renewing and maintaining international legal entity identifiers. Providing this support must not depend on a client using other depository services. The decision also adds international identifiers for financial instruments, reference instruments and indices, together with related services.

The changes address the identification infrastructure used by financial market participants. They also introduce a reference to information and data security requirements. The resolution provides for entry into force on the tenth day after official publication.
