Kyrgyzstan sets timelines for digital som and licensing platform pilots

On 5 September 2026, Kyrgyzstan’s National Council for Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies set further development tasks.

The National Bank is to build the basic digital som platform and complete pilot testing by the end of 2026. Real-world testing is planned from 2027, followed by gradual nationwide deployment.

A separate digital licensing and supervision platform for virtual assets is scheduled to enter pilot testing on 1 January 2027. These are planned stages, rather than confirmation of completed implementation or general public availability.
